All genres are available. The student is encouraged to explore different styles, creating versatility and facilitating artistic development.
The Upskill
For the student who is no stranger to the music industry or creativity... but who requires training in foundational vocal technique and coaching in their artistic development so that they may add singing to their set of musical and/or artistic skillsets. This is popular for the actor, the producer, the sound engineer, the instrumentalist and the music teacher.
Vocal Mastery
For the determined Vocalist who possesses musical and/or vocal skills but wishes to master the complex vocal techniques required to achieve full versatility and expressive potential. This class is recommended to those with experience in the music industry who wish to further their skills and reach professional level vocalisation.
About
Bronte Maree O'Neill has been performing from the age of twelve in Pop, Rock, Music Theatre and most recently; Soul, Funk and Jazz. With over seven entertainment agents and various residencies; she can be seen performing regularly around Sydney venues, festivals, corporate events and weddings. She has completed seven contracts as a Guest Entertainer for P&O Cruise lines and has featured at the Sydney Opera House, Luna Park and the Royal Easter Show as well as with the Navy Big Band, the Blue Mountains Symphony Orchestra, and as a session backing vocalist for X Factor Australia and the AACTV Awards (Channel 7).
Bronte is also an experienced songwriter and has released an array of singles under her Alt-Pop duo named ‘Maari;’ gaining international radio play, Airtime on MTV and support slots for Artists such as North East Party House, Wafia, & E^st. In the last 3 years, the duo (Dominic Cabusi & Bronte Maree O'Neill) expanded their love of composition to Soundtrack writing and Film Scoring; debuting their first Full Score and 2 Title Tracks for 'The Legend of The Five'-an Australian Fantasy film that aired in 55 cinemas Australia wide (including Event Cinemas, Village Cinemas and Showbiz Cinemas) before achieving a TV Premiere on ABC ME and hitting streaming services in the UK and US as well as select US cinemas. The duo are now working on the Score and Soundtrack for their next feature film; 'The Red Shoes: Next Step' to be released in 2022 through Pivot Pictures. They've also recently begun work in Sync Music, having four original songs featured on 'Earth Songs;' an album inspired by nature, conservation and our connection to this planet. This was released through Castle Music, KPM Music and Sony Music Publishing. 'Maari Music' is now a Music Production Studio specialising in Composition, Publishing and Production. This business runs from their production suite at Messiah Studios, Sydney.
When Bronte begun vocal lessons at the age of thirteen, she was immediately fascinated with the technical and anatomical aspects of the voice. Through intensive vocal coaching with over ten different teachers, a number of courses and her own research she has gained a great confidence for training voices of any style and age to ensure they gain access to their full vocal ability. Being a professional full-time singer and understanding the demands and challenges of all areas of performance, she is very passionate about creating a limitless voice that makes great use of range, versatility and endurance. Bronte holds a Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Performance) and a Graduate Certificate (Music) in the research of Vocal Registers and their application to the contemporary vocalist. She has also researched the application of Vocal Technique to the recording studio. Bronte's research is always ongoing and is driven by her enthusiasm for endurance and vocal preservation.
Bronte has worked with students of all ages and skill levels and enjoys personalising her lessons to the individual needs of each student. She has vast experience in private tutoring, choir conducting, vocal masterclass leading and workshop directing.
Bronte has taught students at all stages of their career. She has worked with absolute beginners, professional touring artists, session studio singers, vocalists wishing to prepare for University auditions and HSC students (who have achieved band 5, 6 and encore nominations). She is also an Academic Lecturer at The Australian Institute of Music (6 years); working in the Contemporary department at Certificate and Bachelor level.
